am up early again for the sake of the kittens.

I caught a skunk the other day. and then yesterday night when I set up, the two piggies (Puppy and Rei) weren't around so I couldn't take them inside, and sure enough, this morning piggy #1 was squalling v. loudly within the trap-- AFTER eating all the food. Pig.

hoping piggy #2 has more sense than idiote there.


Orchestra retreat yesterday. was v. fun. I helped plan the activities (relay!) at school even though, haha totally not an upperclassman, but! fun. Sophomores totally failed, unfortunately. Dead last~

Next time we have activities, I propose no leap frog. Or only 2-3 people instead of like, 10.

Saratoga Springs, Tony and Tim brought cheap frisbees, so this group of us (all Asians! hahaha) started playing. and we owned them~ People kept joining the other team so we were outnumbered like 9 to 5 but! we won anyway. by a LOT. XD

Grabbed Terry Su to throw water balloons, except I messed up so he got very very wet, but. we braved the jumbo balloons! So we got priority in the dinner line.

Food, campfire, smores, wandered with Yang and Emily, and then with Wooho (the Korean kid; doesn't his name look like Woohoo?) and some freshmen guys, and then settled by campfire because. COLD.

Wooho has this strange addiction to burning leaves and napkins in the fire. and it was contagious. I started doing it too. And Sean Chen, after calling it retarded. XD

OKOK then we got balloons! Real ones, not water balloons. yeah we stole them so the balloon string was really short and my first one accidentally flew away so Sean got me another one and then went purposefully into the middle of a clearing to let his go with a flourish. >>; odd child. And Wooho breathed the helium and talked funny and we were v. amused.

whee more orch stuff soon. meanwhile, kitten traps!

And is it just me, or does Harker just not run with us at all? Like last year we had no meets against them whatsoever. :( As in, do our paths NEVER cross? Because that is SAD. T__T

In other news, I want to learn to speak Korean. It doesn't seem v. hard, esp with fluent Chinese and semifluent Japanese as backup, and EVERY DAY I am surrounded by Korean FOBS, and I am the only Chinese there, i.e. only nonKoreanspeakingperson aside from Elaine Higashi who I thought was Japanese but is half Jap and half Korean although she can't speak it, and they might be v. friendly and v. funny and v. easy to get along with (zomg I aspire to be more like Susan XD) but that doesn't change the fact that people talk... talk... KOREANGLISH amongst themselves and to me sometimes because I look Korean enough, and I sit there feeling absolutely dead center Chinese.

And since Kim's entire population of students, both Mrs. Kim AND Mr. Kim, are KOREAN, except me and mayyybe a few select others who I never happen to see around because they probably have age difference or level difference or something, and this Koreanness is going to surround me for 3 more years, and... yeah. yeah.

(srsly, every benefit concert, student gathering, whatever, is like this. OH and SJYS is the primarily Korean orchestra, vs. CYS which is v. Chinese, and ECYS which is pretty mixed, sooooooooo...)

I wonder where I can find someone to teach me Korean. Too bad Katie's back at Providence...

So the two Taiwanese guys are gone now. Although Gangzhe might be back on Tuesday and just ditch on Wednesday (he's leaving for Shanghai that night anyway) just coz Adam will be back! Yay Adam.

I watched... half of Finding Nemo with them before dance class. Felt extremely stiff and unstretched during, and after was mildly sore. So then I started watching Matrix 1 with them! Only I went to the informal orchestra retreat at 5 so I kinda didn't see much.

Ahhhhh orchestra. It was so empty without the seniors. And I mean v. few people came because this wasn't the official retreat, it was informal. Like... 40 people, maybe. =/ A lot of freshmen. Austin was briefly there, though. And Dorothy went. AND TIFF PAN IS DITCHING US WTFWTFWTF she's going to ABANDON me and Yang cruelly just coz she got into CYS and she's lazy. T___T

Walter brought his bullwhip from Australia. He's gotten pretty good at cracking it since I last saw him...

They played "Be A Man," the Mulan song? It was kind of sad. Just like 點點點點點 because the senior gang that always sang that song together (it was like their trademark song, they always posed and everything) had graduated and it's pretty weird seeing Anastasia around without Jeff Lee and... yeah. And the cello section is kind of weak right now because like 4 of the really good celloes that all started together are all gone... and stuff... and Alice is good, but I mean that's like ONE person, and she'll graduate next year and Alvin is just. >> bah. Dunno why he and his brother have such a big gap in terms of skill level...

Concert was ehhhhhhh... orchestra really didn't play that well, comparatively. I remember right after we finished Concerto Grosso Kimberly and I kind of looked at each other and winced. >>;; But band did well.

I wish Yang goes online after concerts. We talked a lot while waiting in TapX, but mmm after she goes home... she's home. I feel like ranting together with someone after the concert. T__T 'course, no one's on. oh Alvin's doing Chinese homework ahahaha and his brother is really tired or something. Supposedly he took a nap at like 6 or 7 which is why Alvin was late meeting Emily (he needs to borrow her cello case) but I'm not quite sure as to his sincerity on that.

She's the one who took us to TapX afterwards. She met her friend Irene there who was her Kindergarten playmate oO;; and they hadn't seen each other for 5 years? Yeah.

I wish Adam went to see the concert. Amy did, but she never knew how the music dept was before. Like Adam used to be actively involved. And this would be the last concert ever that had a grade level he recognized (the current seniors-- they were freshman his senior year)... yeah past that he won't know ANYONE anymore. kind of sad.

but he's living happily in Manhattan with Katie. So whatever. XD;

Today Tiff and I went crazy during tutorial and danced about the school and attacked Dorothy and poked her and ran about until she hid away and we went about in twirly little jump-around-or-chase-each-other-around-because-we-are-insulting-each-other circles all about the school and wandered and talked like the way we used to at the beginning of the year, except we were both hyper (ish) too so we went BANZAIIII to random people and were loud and crazy and laughed like the school was about to fall down.

Ahahaha I'm rooming with Dorothy in Australia. She should be glad Tiff's not going. Otherwise she'd visit my room all the time and we would both jump her and she shall um. be attacked! and yeah. Actually I think we make her life more interesting. Otherwise she hides in the little corner and does her govt/econ hw all day. So boriiiiing.

Well anyway, since it's just me and no Tiff, she will probably be spared. :( wah Tiff~

... I SWEAR. I HAD NO INTENTION OF EATING ANY RAMEN. I've been walking past ramen every day every morning every afternoon when I get home from school and I haven't touched it or desired it or felt like eating it, at all. And that probably would've lasted for about another healthy week or so before I did! And then my mom came in earlier chewing on a piece of bread going "oooh you should try this bread sometime it's so good" and I, having just eaten a piece (right in her face, too, but mom doesn't pay attention to these things) was kind of like "... oO;; okay" and she started going "So meimei! We have all this good food at home and leftovers and lots of bread and even bagels and aiyi's cooked this and that and that... SO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T EAT ANY RAMEN. ANY. over the weekend."

Me: "... wtf I never even thought about that. I wasn't planning to."
Mom: "Well I'm not saying you were, just... yeah."

So mom leaves.

After a while, NOW THAT she's brought my thought process back to ramen, I start thinking "Hmmm... some ramen might not be such a bad idea... ramen's gooooood... spicyyyy..." *cravings begin to churn*

CMEA today. SHS didn't play, but a hell lot of schools came over.

I feel like such a ditcher. Yesterday I meant to do Eng hw (at around 9:30ish), and fell asleep fully dressed and woke up at 11, whereupon I took about 10 minutes to change and fell asleep again. _ _;; Track meet = tiring. And the fact that after the 15/16 sleepover (where I slept like 1 hr), I've been consecutively getting only 5-6 hrs of sleep every day until, well, yesterday....

So when I woke up, I decided to finish Eng hw instead of go to orchestra because I figured it'd be more productive. Didn't call in this time. Probably got an unexcused absence. Hope it won't be enough to do any permanent damage.

I also ditched track. And my piano class. coz I didn't really officially sign up to volunteer with the CMEA people, but I found Gunn and I was like OMGCHRISTINE!!!! CTY reunion~ So I called parents up and told them I was helping out, and stayed at the school.

I did help out, somewhat. Uh. I snuck into the sightreading room and stole a rockstop (endpin holder) for Austin (Gunn guide). and sneaked it back in later. Also helped with the bake sale people. And Shirleen (MVHS guide) had no idea what to do so I had to help out with MVHS...

Christine and I talked a lot. ^^ I hadn't seen her since the end of CTY05. We kind of... got updated on each other's lives. She made a huge fuss out of Delmar. ==;; Also met random Gunn people. Katherine, this Korean senior, knew like all the Paly people. Del and Zano and Alex and Robbie and Marty... everyone I could think of.

Reminisced a lot. Christine remembers Eliza and Deb and Tiff and vaguely Del and Louis. I urged her to join a gathering someday.

Saw Andy, too. Hell, there were a LOT of Spartans. They outnumber EVERYONE. A huge mob of them lounged outside the quad, looking formidable. Also, everyone else plays twice, with orch and band. MVHS plays FOUR times. They're all over the schedule sheet. There were Spartans here at 3 pm and there will be Spartans here 'til 10 pm. _ _;; Got acquainted with many more of them. I just don't know their names.

Bumped into Teddy again, right before I left. His eyes were very red. Allergies. XD hah Teddy's pretty cool. He's in CYS! and CTY automatically makes him cool~~

D00d, I don't even know if the ending makes sense or if I got the idea that originally popped into my head across. but hell, too lazy to edit. >>;; My writing's deteriorating. this makes me sad.

In other news, rally today was rather lame. but it made me laugh a lot, sometimes genuinely funny, sometimes complete stupidity funny, sometimes random amusement funny... whatever, I'm easily amused. ^^; so it was all good.

The cellos had not enough sheet music this morning. So we sat 3 to a stand for 3 stands instead of, er, having 5 stands. I sat with Alvin and Grace (yay first stand go me!), and Grace messed around the whole time... she had lots of fun, methinks. It amused me. And we were extraordinarily cramped, but whatever. Afterwards Alvin came to me and said in an undertone, "My stand partner is ALWAYS like that. ALWAYS. =.= Feel my pain." It made me laugh.

:D :D I hope it storms tomorrow and they cancel the meet.

k, it was okay for like. an hour. 'coz of the new seating, and Andrew wasn't there. and then Austin came late and sat in Andrew's seat, and he plays with these big flourishes. and his bow was v. scary. So I moved my seat over to the left! And then, because Kimberly's sitting somewhat at an angle, when I switch strings or play on the D string I would hit the edge of her chair. So I had to lean back and if I forgot my bow suffered. So then! I try and move the seat back a bit. But. it won't go back. BECAUSE I had moved to the left, and since the basses were so cramped behind us (8 of them stuffed into this little corner), their stand was right up against my chair and pretty much right above my head! And I don't want to move BACK to the right because Austin's there, and I can't move my chair around at all and it was just BLAH. and the room kept getting steadily stuffier and stuffier as it always does, and I didn't have enough rosin on my bow, and... =.=

Drill drill drill. I feel like maybe I should practice the orchestra music a bit, but I mean aft 2 hours or so of instrumenting I look at the orchestra music, and, just.... >>;; yeah.
