I can do S-turns now!!! and I figured out how to steer (kind of) with my right hand.

/prouds self

Soooo that makes thrice I've seen snow and twice boarding. Next time I'm going to bring condensed milk and eat the powder. Also next time I refuse to buspool with obnoxiously loud underclassmen =.= can't... sleep...

though admittedly some of their conversations were pretty funny

KID #1: Nonono! You gotta ask someone "Do you want to ask me out to Sadies?"
KID #2: And when they say yes...
KID #1: Reject them!
US: woken up by laughter ...lolwut

Let's invite Boitz next time, hey. If he grew up in Minnesota he must be pretty pro.

mmmmmmmmmmmm /sleepy

(hi everyone I'm back from Tahoe)

YAYZ SNOWBOARDING~

So you know how those pro-snowboarders go down whoosh! to the right, then whoosh! to the left, then whoosh! to the right etc etc (it's called an S turn?).

Here's Adela:

/stand up
/wobble
eeern-screech.
smalllll whoosh! to the left?
screech.
screeeeeeeeech-ehhhrn.
boing! (bunny hop to get moving again)
screech.
screeeeeech-whooosh?
whoosh. to the right.
SCREEECH.
whoooosh! to the left.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH. /wobble
FLOP.
/scrabbling noises
eeeern-screech...
WHOOOOOOOOOOSH! to the right!
(Adela panics because she's going too fast)
"stop! stop! STOP!" (AHHHHHHHHHH!)
(of course she's leaning on the wrong foot so she goes faster instead of stopping)
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
(AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!)
fwoomf!
"ow fuck"
/scrabbling noises
FWOOOOOOOMF!
"...crap"

Most brilliantly, Adela is now stuck beneath in a snowdrift several feet down from the side of the hill where no one can see her.

AHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA Adela had lots of fun though. :D Aside from the flying off the edge of the hill bits.

Also, Adela can now pretty much do successful S-turns! Very very slowly. If you can count whoosh! screeeeeeeech-eeernnn... screech... whoosh! to be a turn.

ahahahahh good enough for two and a half days. At least I'm not falling anymore. XD

Also, after Adam hyped up the soreness factor so much, I'm actually... not that sore. o___O I mean I am, but it's not half as bad as it was during XC, and it didn't bother me very much on the second day.

ANYWAY.

Adela has two days to do all of her winter break homework. And also the textbook reading she should've been doing for the past two months and, no duh, didn't do. So she's going to bed now.

Byebye!
chu_totoro: (FMA-- feed me)
dude, it's SO cold. So I remember biking home after XC at 7, maybe 8, and it's just kind of chilly, maybe a bit DARK but not cold, and I bike home now at around... now, 6:20ish, and it's JUST as dark and by the time I get back and there is NO feeling left in my hands. I pick up a bowl of hot soup and it's hot and steaming and I'm holding this burning bowl of soup and I can't feel anything. For like 5 minutes. And then there's a faint tingle, kind of.

People are saying it might SNOW. Wouldn't that be awesome?? Except it wouldn't really snow, because it never REALLY snows in the Bay Area if you don't count the mountains, but well. yeah. ^______^ that'd be funnnnnnnnnnnnn~

First final tomorrow. Need an A for an A- in the class. And our group already blotched the lab portion of the final today so more like I need an A+ on the multiple choice.

...soooooo screeeeeewed.
