Edit: Orch ended early today. Was having a bit of an inferiority complex because I had completely neglected the orch pieces and was pretty much BSing it over, but then they told 2nd period to stop ('cuz we sucked so much) and made just 4th period play, and I observed Chris playing his bow all the way onto the fingerboard and not noticing, and felt better. Then I watched my stand partner. That helped.

Angela made me remember the DrivEd hw. Ugh~ what a pain.

Edit: YARRRR DRIVER'S ED IS RETARDED!!!

Mm I've got a nice warm hand-knitted scarf on my side BUT! it's still cold. ... hah. Pathetic.

I'm sorry Mel, I knocked your icon out, but eh I saw this and I hope you see that it was a MUST-STEAL...

Nothing of interest to note today. Except for maybe the fact that I have a hell lot of music to practice. Got much orchestral - not quite hard, per se, but won't pass without a fair amount of self-work at home. That is, unless I plan to just muddle it over with in the back, since no one can possibly hear me over the wind ensemble (had first full rehearsal yesterday; it was... interesting), which I don't. Because, I'm just that stupid.

Also, normal cello music, so my teacher kills me not (hell, she's a full head shorter than me, yet...), and piano needs catching up on.

... Hatikvah is stuck in my head... >>

Concert!

... Los Altos was sad. You call that vibrato? Looks more like you have Parkinson's disease. The poor principal players... they were the only good people, and you could see them going at it doubly fiercely, throwing all their heart and soul into it to make up for the others that were almost... dragging it down, you could say. Without them the whole orchestra would've collapsed.

You know what I noticed?

The entire Lynbrook orchestra is Asian! Wow, big surprise. Heh. Ours is predominantly Asian, too... but not... so completely...

Hey, now that I think about it. The principal LAHS players were all Asian, too. I think. o.O

The concert dress IS effin' cold. I kept having coughing fits and the stupid air conditioning didn't help much. And after a stand-and-stretch break Felicia squished into the same seat as me because someone stole her seat. Uncomfortable.... x.X

T_T Watching our "Chamber Orchestra" (fourth period) made me sad. I want to get in Adv Orch!!!! T.T But looks like there's no way I can do it this year... Waaaaaa~ I wish he had let me audition, at least... The pieces aren't that hard...

Oh yeah, I had another good lesson today. Now isn't that cool.

... I'll shut up now and go to bed. I feel like I'm too attached to the computer. Yeah.

The hell

Ouchies. My right hip joint and left knee joint hurts! Yay. I feel unbalanced.

THIS is because today Aoki did what she said she would do and gave us our rightful punishment of 2 miles. >> When asked, she said it was an Asian thing (that the whole class is punished for something one person did). And it is, kinda. We were like "but this is America!" and she was like "pffft well I am Japanese and I am your teacher!"

It was funny, and anyways, it wasn't too bad. Held back since I saw no sense in sprinting practice miles and killing myself... got 16:30. And actually wasn't really winded at all. o.O Weird. Sweaty and icky, though.

I let Jason lap me. Once. Near the end. T_T if I'd only run a little faster he wouldn't've been able to... Stupid fast kid. Nyaaaa~

Then we had the Bio test. Didn't study at all, did relatively okay, had a sub... Then copied down info from a transparency and since I sat in back I went in front and knelt to write them and it hurt my knees T_T, but that was temporary and it passed. Also while up in the front Jeff Chu wanted to know my mile score and when I told him he winced and started swearing. ^^ -feels smug- He was 4 mins slower.

And Redwood! Never been to the place before in my life. Hung around at the music room looking for Boitz, and then Verson stuck her head out and asked if we knew Timothy Wang and Dorothy and I went "....never heard of him." Then later we realized she meant Thomas. Who was outside. So we called him in and Verson was like "Oh, Thomas, you can ride with me to Redwood because Boitz isn't here...." yada yada.... and I was like "O.o Yay! Can I ride with you too?"

So that problem was solved. Hung out around the music building... played a bit of piano in the first practice room whilst Mega watched, bored, and then hated that piano and made Thomas move over (well he was leaving anyways) and claimed the third practice room and played there. I officially declare that I dislike the school pianos. I actually like the second room's best, 'cept it was taken.

Redwood! The kiddies are so... small. And chibi cellos. XD So cute! Hah.

I had no idea what I was doing. I suck at tuning, y'know. But following my philosophy, I acted professional and pretended confidence like I knew exactly what I was doing, and the kiddies looked at me with eyes of worship. And it made me laugh really hard inside, because really, I didn't know what I was doing at all...

Some of the cellos were REALLLLY out of tune, and I had to ditch the fine tuners and then when I turned the knob it was stuck and when it finally turned it wouldn't stay and if I let go it'd start spinning and go ultra-flat, and it was very annoying and I spent forever on that cello feeling rather stupid inside, and then I'd turn and see the little kid watching me so carefully because she thought I was so advanced and awesome and I had a strong impulse to burst out laughing...

Anyways, I might suck, but they were worse. And I definitely improved on their tune, comparatively at least....

Mm. Was the only cellist there. But they had only 4 cellos anyways, so 'twas all right. Eee I love the chibi cellos! ^^ Hahaha~

Today was rather eventful.

Eventful events )

Oh yeah!

....you guys know the sweet and sour game? Where you wave at someone and if they wave back, they're sweet, and if they don't, they're sour? Well, today I was feeling kind of hyper and random so I started to wave at everyone I knew the name to in SHS.

...only Tiff, Tiff, Josh, Brian, Yang, Emily, and Dorothy waved back. >> the rest of you SHSers are ALL sour, you losers!

Edit: Stole this from [livejournal.com profile] cougarfang

You have a total of 19 friends
You requested to guess 19 entries.
2 was skipped due to invalid content (surprising?).
You made 17 guesses.
You got 15 correct.
Doing the math for you, that means you got 88% correct

Edit: Compiled a general list of everybody I waved to, just for the heck of it and because I want to procrastinate piano. Look guys, LOOK. I waved to like a million people. And how many of them are sour? >>

List )

Not including the people that waved TO me, since that doesn't really count. I think about half of these people might not've seen me, but still...

...you're sour, folks. You're sour. >>

Edit: It's Friday! It's Friday! And piano class is over! And I'm hyper! And I think I'm going to be typing a lot because I don't really HAVE to do my hw today! YAAAAY~

Orchestra rantrantrant (long) )

Edit: Rant continued )

-looks up- Hell, that was the most... "pure ranting" that I've done in ages.

Hm.

-looks down- Well, I've certainly condensed the day very much... I've not enough time to write down all the details, just the more interesting ones.

My day )

Wheee~ I'm in a much better mood today than I was last night. Now that I'm no longer tired and grouchy, maybe I ought to record the happenings of Friday. But it's not like anybody really cares about my school life except me... and I've hw to do. Mm. Guess not, then.

Edit: Sigh. Fantasia keeps playing over and over in my head, in an echoey form...
