Hi all.
I think I have what can be termed an internet addiction.
But I've known this since middle school haha.
Anyway I am now in my dorm!
I can't post pictures yet because it's extremely messy and my family would yell at me (... =.=).
But I have one thing to say.
百円shopはみんなの一番友達!!
I got enough food to last me 2-4 days (depending on how frugal I am).
And it cost me less than 20$...
///
I don't know where all my dormmates have gone.
They're all Americans.
Well the ones I know are.
Because... you guessed it, they picked up the Americans in a group!
They all band together.
I don't really want to band together with them, because what's the point of living inside a mini-America?
Besides, the America I'm used to is 50% Asian hahaha.
I don't really like the rules of this dorm though.
No visitors, period.
So you can't invite any classmates over.
Also my classmates are almost entirely Korean.
We had self-introduction yesterday and all their names were like: Park Jung-Sook, Kim Soong-Min, Kim Hwa-Yoong, Kim Hwa-Choo... I have no idea who is who.
Why am I surrounded by Koreans no matter where I go!?
///
Additional funny story.
It seems like Aiden Kuo (Mr Kuo's son) wanted Taiwanese sweets really badly.
(Okay, to be fair, his photos were there too.)
We had a conversation that went something like this:
(convo, condensed version)
AIDEN: Can I go find you tomorrow?
AIDEN: Actually, can I come now?
ME: Uh, now? <- 10PM, curfew is 11
AIDEN: Yeah. You have a phone?
ME: ...no. Hold on a moment.
I run around looking for our dorm manager, who's currently all over the place because today is settle-in day. She's nowhere to be found, so I return to the computer.
ME: Hey, dorm manager's pretty busy.
ME: The only phone here is her cell, and calling her might not be a good idea because she might not be around.
ME: Why don't you set a time?
That's when I notice another screen flashing on my computer. It's Mr Kuo!
KUO: Hi Adela. Aiden's already left to find you, so just give me the phone number and I'll tell him.
ME: But there is no phone number...
So our dorm also happens to be in a totally out-of-the-way corner, and Aiden got lost and couldn't find it until nearly midnight, and I had to pass his sweets to him over the wall.
hahahaha.
Off to cook myself lunch!
edit: I would really like to wash my shoes, but then I won't be able to go out for the rest of the day. What to do...
