so tired...
I actually made it to the concert, amazingly enough. Dance performance was running early and orchestra was running late, and after speedchanging in the car + frantically zooming across to SHS + masses of unanswered phone calls and despair (thinking that they must already be on stage and therefore not answering phone) it turns out... Lynbrook was still playing!! yayyyy.
Unfortunately, without makeup remover I couldn't get rid of all the makeup. So with water I got it clean enough so that I didn't look like a geisha, but random perceptive people still gave me eyebrow quirks. Coz I'm not normally a makeup sort of person.
mmmm so the dance performance was at Los Altos High. Very ironic, since at the same moment Los Altos High orchestra was over at Saratoga High performing in our PAL center. Even more ironic because this same morning I took the SATs at... Los Altos High! Coincidence bit?
made it to 5th period performance. And full ensemble. And massed. Personally I hadn't practiced enough with 5th and I felt more of a hindrance than a help, not on Rota maybe but certainly Dvorak. =/ need to talk to Sutton about that ><
I thought the BJs thing was canceled. But apparently they changed their mind? Or a smaller group ended up going, anyway. I was all for going home to sleep, but a certain friend forced me to go with them.
--PAL woefully devoid of people
ADELA: crap, I need a ride.
FRIEND: Come with us to BJs!
ADELA: No, it's ok. I'm tired. I want to go home.
FRIEND: Awwwww come on.
ADELA: Now to find a ride...
FRIEND: He'll give you a ride!
PERSON: Huh? Sure.
ADELA: Oh yay.
FRIEND: ...to BJs.
ADELA: ........
This would not have happened if I didn't have stupid dance performance and drove there and just drove home! But it turned out all right. Quite a number of people were there. Nearly 20. And the pazookie was good. And we invented a new awkward turtle called the awkward transformer turtle that's really, really stupid, but really, really funny when you're in that ROFL-epitome-of-stupidity mode. When you're in the mood for stupid humor basically.
Also, Jeff Lee came for a while. That was cool. Home for the weekend from CAL, like Amy, 'cept she never comes back anymore.
There were a bunch of smokers behind us.
I'm sleepy.
and I've still got makeup remnants on my face ><
