Sleep Experiment
Feb. 18th, 2012 11:29 amI have been getting such bad sleep the past week that I figure now is as good a time as any to start a polyphasic sleep experiment. After all, the whole point of the adjustment phase is that the sleep-deprivation forces you into REM sleep faster, right? (:
Here's my goal, the Everyman 3:
4-7am (3hr core)
1-2pm (20min nap)
5-6pm (20min nap)
11pm-12am (20min nap)
The naps are meant to be taken anytime within that one hour time block. I suck at sticking to schedules, so I figure some flexibility will help. I also suck at determination, so I am NOT going to jump into this immediately. I think first I'm going to go for 6 hours + siesta, so something like:
1-7am (6hr core)
1-2pm (20min nap)
And see how that works out. If it does, then I'll be cutting down to 5 or 4 hours for the core, and increasing the nap frequencies. I'm also going to follow the internet's advice and stop reading in bed.
In other news, I got a puppy!!! She's really cute, but I'm too sleep deprived to appreciate her. More on that later... right now I gotta go buy a dog crate. (:
