APs coming up! Finals soon! need TIME to pull grades up wtf T_____T
in other news, today was a very music oriented day.
Had to wake up wayyyyy early for 7:30 call time, 8 am CMEA performance. TT it was cold. skipped breakfast, too, because I couldn't find my concert dress and spent 20 minutes hectically turning the house over for it.
And he timed it just so that there's TIME in between the two performances (SHS Strings and SHS Symphony), like 30-45 min, but NOT enough time for it to make sense to go home and come back. So I was basically ded of hunger and sat in a corner of the school talking with random people the whole time.)
We did good, though. Unanimous superior for both. I thought Brahms was kind of sloppy, and WTF the split that NEVER happened before until last rehearsal happened AGAIN today in the Elgar, thankfully just at the end and not the fugue. I don't think anyone but the celloes noticed. We were all like wtf TT
So after that, shipped home to. CELLO LESSON. HAHAHA.
She gave me the rest of Saint Saens to read. Well not the rest. Second mvt, coz third is too hard for me. And yeah. T__T
Come back again, to go to... THE SCHOOl. YES. AGAIN.
Meet up w/Wooho and motley party of 6, huge confusion over rides and celloes fitting in trunks and whatnot, eventually ship off to his family friend's surprise birthday party thing to play, um. Background music.
It was pretty horrible. Outside, makeshift setup, started to rain almost a little bit, everyone complained of cold although I actually thought it was much better than the morning... but. the wind kept blowing our music off to like. Antarctica! And we were sightreading half the time and it was pretty random. But they paid us $100. o____O yeah. More confusion over rides, eventually we all get back. wheee.
I love how when we perform for non-music people like old people or random people at a party, even though we play like CRAP they always go ZOMG you guys are so awesome we heart you!!! ♥♥♥ It's really funny. XD
