Pah... yeah right, we don't even watch the fireworks any more. Well, kind of. Whoever wants to see them climbs on the roof. But that's all. July 4th is just another... pointless holiday...

On a completely random note, I want to watch Howl's Moving Castle~~~ Yes, I just watched it yesterday, which is why I want to watch it again.... in Japanese. SUBBED. The dubbing wasn't bad... it was based on a book, so it was set in Europe, and they had European names like "Sophie"... etc. The young Sophie's voice actor had a British accent. The old Sophie didn't. O__o Anyways, Japanese is still better I bet.

Here in America, with the dubbed version, its average score is a B+. In Japan it BOOMED. "Miyazaki's best yet!" --'' Miyazaki just can't retire, can he? Well, this isn't bad. He makes Mononoke (his best at the time), it booms, he retires, builds himself a little retirement house next to Ghibli... and BOOM. The workaholic (60 something years +) can't retire. Out comes Spirited Away. His best yet. And he goes through the big process again... then someone abruptly drops the project Howl's Moving Castle... and out he comes again. His best again.

If he keeps this up, I'll be very happy. =)

I hope he never dies. Which is impossible. But I hope he lives a long, long time. After all, lots of old people live waaaaay past 60 nowadays. Who knows. He might still have 40 years of life XDD

Btw, how do tags work? I mean, I know how they WORK and all, but how do you add a tag? Do you just put "Tags: blahblahblah" ??? @__@

Not really. There is an option to add a tag. You make different tags in some section.

Mai has watched both the dubbed and subbed, and she said the dubbed of Howl's Moving Castle was better. o__O But you'll probably see for yourself.

Poor Miyazaki..if that keeps up, he'll dig himself an early grave. ;.;

That's mainly because he's been putting out commercials for his recent movies. He didn't advertise the older movies as much in the US.

I know XP *big Miyazaki fan* I've watched almost all of his movies. Have a collection of DVDs (from Taiwan) at home. I think I might've missed some of the early-EARLY ones, but yeah. We've even watched some of the rarer ones like Lupin III the Movie (that was REALLY good), Porco Rosso, Omohide Poro Poro (no idea what it is in English)...

Don't get why good stuff like Pom Poko or Nausicaa hasn't showed up in America at all... (or has it? Hmmmm)

pom poko of my neighbor totoro? @_@ what's that supposed to mean? Pom Poko is the one with the raccoons (see my last comment) and Tonari no Totoro is the one with... umm... TOTORO!!! And the cat bus! XD

One with piggies = Porco Rosso
One with kitties = Cat's Return
One that just looks weird = ?? Omohi de Poro Poro or Mimi wo Sumaseba?

I'd recommend Lupin III the Movie (it was a series... don't get the series, just get the movie.) And watch it in Japanese. SUBBED. NOT the dubbing. Ugh.... XD I love Lupin with his Japanese voice. "AYAYAYAYAYAYAAAAAHHH!!" Lol okay. Get it off... I 'onno... netflix? Download it illegally!

Btw, Nausicaa has manga AND movie. The manga's more comprehensive... and also a bit more confusing -_- but they're both not bad.
