half-birthday!

hey people. It's my half-birthday today! I can officially take the permit test now. I shall steal my cousins' old permit tests and study from them, and because between them they have all the possible tests (yes, the real tests) that can be given me, I shall pass. x3
It's also Andrew's birthday! but I wished him happy birthday a day early because my Date/Time was screwed up and I didn't fix it until late last night! Ohohohoho.
Yesterday was the pool party-ish gathering. It would, y'know, be nice if you inform your invitees that it is a POOL PARTY beforehand so they can bring a SWIMSUIT? And even of the people who did know,
maeglin_arandur decided to be snotty and not bring one anyway. He was hosed as punishment.
Lots of delays, traffic jams, fires, phonecalls made just five seconds too late that resulted in 30 more minutes of waiting... etc.
Mass waterfights! There was an inflatable boat.
kyouten and I failed on getting on, and when we finally managed it after falling overboard about 3 times, it was COMPLETELY FILLED WITH WATER. Not even kidding here. So then we made a feeble attempt at being pirates! And water sprayed every which way as we hopelessly tried to bilge with our bare hands *le gasp* which, unfortunately, didn't work. And then all the innocent bystanders who got sprayed a faceful of water roared and turned into fearsome beasts as they attacked! viciously. And we decided that a pirate's life was too difficult and dived overboard &tried to work out water guns instead.
... well. Someone just rang the doorbell and it turns out it was Grant Fukui and he'd thrown his gift boomerang (from the Aussie farewell dinner) into our backyard and he lives RIGHT BEHIND US and. It's a small world, isn't it? ==;;
Um. back to the story. Eventually people got sick of the water, mostly because
maeglin_arandur refused to go near the pool and
too_late_again suffered much the same after we forcibly threw him in twice, and because eventually
ninj4_alex went in and started playing STARCRAFT with Louis. Which ended things, pretty much.
And then Hoodwinked! Melody had quoted the songs at me so much that I knew all the lyrics before they sang them but. AHAHA. Singing mountain goats! THAT ROCKED ON ITS HORNS. And triple g Granny! Awesomeest movie ever. Meanwhile other people were setting SC up and millions of cables twisted their way beneath our feet and we had trouble finding a place to sit down but. It worked out. Joe had to stuff himself under a table to play but it worked out.
More SC, some DDR, and then sitting around and talking, mostly as Louis fretted about his ride and kept insisting pointlessly that he had to get to practice when he really, y'know, couldn't. It got a bit annoying. Srsly, you can't just expect other people to arrange EVERYTHING for you. Look, if you want something done YOU have to make sure it gets done otherwise it WON'T get done; figure things out beforehand or at least ASK at the beginning of the gathering because then maybe you could've taken public transportation in time to get back, right?
but anyway, I think he ended up staying 'til ~9 or so. So much for XC.
Ji arrived; Delmar's parents were an hour late; we played Apples-to-Apples and had lots of fun! Eliza declared that I only lobby for my own cards not *that* often sheesh XD, and Melody fell asleep. She just conked out in the middle of the game and stopped participating.
Um. Joe's mom came and on the way home we talked about boyscouts and SHS and hey! Joe knows
dareonion! Hahaha.
mmhmm that's about all I have to say for that. Oh, just one more thing:
KEROPI! *beepbeep* Attention Keropi look over here at the bold because it is important.
So, about this weekend? Yes, I'm free on Saturday. Yes, I can go to PGA if you guys want. Yes, my mom can drive me.
...BUT ONLY if Gangzhe (Andrew) and Gangpu (Jason) Hong can come with us. Taiwanese friends of ours, see. They'll pay for themselves, but basically if I go anywhere this weekend they must come with me. Jason's about my age, Andrew's a college student, and yes. That OK or no?
'course, always the off-chance that mom changes plans and they don't come, but don't count on it. anyway, they're fun people. x3

Date: 2006-08-03 09:34 pm (UTC)Yes, I am a bit late into getting my permit (16 is the minimum age, I'm 17 now), but I'm not allowed a car anyway, so what difference does it make. *sigh* It would've been nice to drive somewhere else or go home early, as I have the last two class periods free on certain days.
