ahahahaha. I am reassessing my opinions of the freshmen class.

So I met a group of them during the summer retreat, and from that and the freshmen I see around school I really don't... think much of them. Gossipy but only within their own little clumps, nothing to say to us, really immature (guys particularly), kind of annoying...

So today after XC I made friends with some band freshies! Who were pretty cool. A lot livelier/amiable than the orchestra ones. But then, band was always crazier than orchestra. *shrug* Orchestra's more hardcore, though. Probably because it's easier for us to be hardcore. Oh and they have more people so it's easier for them to ditch. XD;

Anyway! Met this freshie named Terran. Terran. Spelled exactly like that.

I figured out why I can manage to skip breakfast out of LAZINESS. It's because, really, I know that there is no substantial food in the house nor anything that I can cook in time to eat and finish before I have to leave, so I'm not really skipping breakfast, I'm just skipping the effort of looking for breakfast.

Dad just turned my mood completely upside-down. wtf. and, dammit, I know what he's thinking, I know what he thinks about me, and I know how it's completely warped, screwed over, and hell there are so many things I want to shout at him to justify myself but he'll never ask, so I'll never explain. He's tired and angry and too tired to be angry, so he's just swallowing it and if he's doing that there's nothing for me to say, it's like the section in 天龍八部 where 蕭峰 tells that story and... ugh.

2241 edit: The hell, he's done NOTHING but get mad at me all day, I'm sick of it, and I know he's going to get mad at me later coz I screwed over mom's computer when I was researching on it and wasn't being careful and was treating it like my computer (yeah it's an old crappy mac but that also means it never gets infected with ANYTHING) and there's mild ad-ware on it now and that's totally my fault and he can get rid of it really easily because mad-engineer person and all, but I'm still going to get lectured for it and in that he's completely justified, I know I know, but just thinking about more anger and talking and lectures and general pissiness makes me tired. and probably restrictions on mom's computer and compromises and maybe groundings or the laying of laws (been throughhhh this befoooore) and just ehhhhh. wtf was wrong with him today anyway?

2316 edit: Daaaamn. My life at school is so happy. And then I come home and I'm still happy, and then it becomes terrible. And I feel like I'd be happier if I could actually cry, but when I think about it honestly, I don't think I'd actually be. =X Anyway. will be happy at school again tmr. XD

Ahaha but too lazy to babble now. Life shall suddenly be better in the morning, because for some reason it always is... ^^;

Sifted through Adam's wardrobe this morn out of boredom.

Found... a significant amt of MY long lost clothing (>.> that housekeeper manages to vex me even AFTER she's been fired), no sweatshirt, but whee a v. waterproof Band/Guard jacket!

Oversized, yet v. warm and importantly, completely waterproof, so I stole it and managed not to get too wet biking in the storm this morning. ... 'cept that water pooled on my backpack and when I got off the bike it splashed off in a violent spray and drenched my jeans, and also incidentally wet a number of my papers INSIDE the backpack, but that's irrelevant.

Posed as a band geek the rest of the day. :D :D

Adam probably doesn't need the jacket (well, for starters, the jacket is here and he's in Rhode Island...), so I shall steal it for the time being. Is a good wind-protection jacket, nevermind how weird it looks. x3

In other news, finally got my shorts back from Cynthia. :) We've been fruitlessly searching around campus for each other for the past week, and this morning I biked past her walking to school under a giant black umbrella, and we both blinked, paused, turned, and squeed at each other ("OMG ADELA!!!" "OMG CYNTHIA!!" *together "I'VE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR YOU!!!") and er. stood in the pouring rain and dug our shorts out of our backpacks and traded shorts in the middle of the road. funny, en't it?

1654 edit: news from mom. If all goes well, Adam will be in New Zealand next year for three months, Sept-Nov. And their school doesn't start for two of those months so he basically gets to do whatever he want and chill in NZ. and MOM'S going to tag along for those two months 'coz she loves the idea. -.- leaving me stuck at home with dad...

Turns out my cell phone charger did come. A while ago. But the phone's not compatible with verizon, so I have to wait for a new one. Dad's helpful. Wow. My last post exploded.

But I finished it! The first week. All 13 pages (in small font~). *proud*

That took forever to write. _ _;; Two more weeks to go... and yes, I will write them! Despite the fact that I should be doing other things... ah, these are definitely going in my memories.

Anyhow, I actually managed to wake up pretty early today. I should go to bed earlier. If I go to bed at 10:30 maybe I can wake up at 7. And then I'll have lots of time in the mornings when no one else in my family is awake and I can do whatever I want without them bugging me.

Hm. I should go eat breakfast now. Or shower. And then I have my instruments.... x.x

So close to midnight... Totoro party today was great fun. But I've just realized. I have cello class tomorrow. And I haven't practiced except on Tuesday. Which is better than usual, but still. And there's Chinese homework waiting for me. And I just have so.... much.... stuff..... to do. Agh. Better get to bed. I should wake up early tomorrow morning and... do everything that I need to.

-falls over dead- That was a LOT of work. I just finished translating all of the urgent needed Busou Renkin chapters, and it was so much worse than usual translating. Because it was all missing character summaries or forewords, or, worse of all, Author's Notes on every single damned chapter...

Normally in 13 pages if you put all the text together you form maybe... two, three paragraphs? Sometimes less, on battle scenes, sometimes more. But this time I got sent 13 pages of FULL TEXT. 3-4 paragraphs on each PAGE.

So I'm sure you understand why I fell over dead. But I am rather proud of myself. After all, let's see. My last post was at 1:30 or so. Roughly 5 hours have passed. And I actually got most of my tasks done. I showered, practiced cello (for an hour, too, surprisingly enough _ _;; ), and messed around with the piano like I wanted to. Nightswimming was really repetitive. They could have saved about 2 (or 3) pages if they bothered to use the repeat sign. But it's... pretty nice. I still think the sheet music of American Pie is best, though, even though it's hard.

Anyways, after that my parents came home with shaved ice! And it had good toppings, too. Yummmmm... Ai-yu and Xian-tsao and all of that good stuff... and pearls like the ones in pearl milk tea~ and naturally they had condensed milk. =) Delicious! And THEN guess what happened. My mom dragged me away... to do deskwork for her. I had to input all of the stuff on her checkbooks into the computer. Like, who the check was to, how much it was, what category (tax? fuel? payroll?).... that took a really long time.

Then I came back. And translated till I dropped. And I actually managed to finish BR. @_@ Which makes me really happy because that means I'm still able to translate at super-speed... Chinese skills haven't deteriorated too much. Didn't look at FMA yet, but I didn't expect to finish until tomorrow. So this is good. I also cleaned my room up somewhat and played with the dog.

@_@ Did I count wrong somewhere? How did I fit that into 5 hours? I just translated for definitely over an hour, and the deskwork with mom's checkbooks was over an hour for sure, too. Cello was almost an hour... so that's about four hours... so I ate, cleaned, played (with the dog), played (piano), printed out sheet music, and showered... all in the space of one hour? No, just piano and eating should add up to that... aaaaaaah I'm confusing myself. Whatever. I somehow managed to do everything, and it can sit at that. =D

PHWAHAHA I HAVE MAD CHINESE SKILLZ

Ah, so many CTY posts. I'll be posting more entries.... for one, I should dedicate one to the guys in my class, my teacher, and TA.... I'm also determined to write down as much as I can of what I remember this year, so I don't forget it. And then I can have fun reading my old LJ entries next year. But I think there's been enough of CTY to last a bit. Now I shall get caught up on what I've been doing since I got home...

I leave in less than an hour. 9:00. We meet up at 9:50. The only reason I'm leaving so early is because my mother got engaged in a unnaturally long conversation with grandpa yesterday and completely forgot about laundry detergent. Yes, I need laundry detergent there.

I highly disliked this feeling of anxiety, so I decided to throw it out the window. Think analytical, logical thoughts to myself. It helped, but not completely. I left most of the anxiety behind, yet one part of my mind simply keeps nagging on. You will find out you forgot something when you get there! it whispers. Naturally, I will. It would be rare to go on a trip and actually remember every single thing one needs to bring. Perhaps that's why I can't shake off that voice. Because my analytical mind agrees with it.

There's nothing to do. I didn't eat breakfast. I don't want breakfast. My teeth hurt.

...this has successfully killed 10 minutes, but there's still a half an hour left. Perhaps I'll go revisit the old neopets roleplay boards. Stupid, yes. But good for time killing.

Watching lots of anime... slacking somewhat with translating because I feel like it. I've done more than FS already, and I wasn't even there for 5 months. Reading "Neverwhere" - a kind of weird book but not bad.

Eaten lots and lots of Neoguri the past two days. One, because it tastes good. Two, it's spicy and thus distracts from my teeth. Three, it's soft and thus easy to chew.

But too much of something doesn't settle too well with my stomach. =X Oh well, can't be helped. My teeth don't hurt much any more, and I'll forget it soon, based on past experience, until the next time they tighten it. >> I don't want to wear this weird contraption to CTY. It feels awkward when I close my mouth and I can't quite smile properly. Ah well, I'll get used to it soon enough. At least I'm not one of those poor underbiters that get headgear. -_-'''

Adam's trying to play Kimagure Orange Road - Madoka Piano Files - Emotion in the background. I like that song. I also like "Missing." They're great piano pieces. Because I like them, I learned how to play them. If anyone wants to hear them, go here and do a Find for "missing' or "emotion" and it should jump there. Then click download! XD I can play "Emotion" about as well as Madoka, but "Missing," even though it's shorter, is harder. So I'm not quite there yet.
