(no subject)

I feel dirty. Someone wash me clean.

edit: yuck I can feel it in my skin. 23 days left to go.

? What happened? Are you working with clay or something?

[identity profile] chu-totoro.livejournal.com 2009-05-08 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
no it's more of an inner sort of disgust

That was my first impression actually... I think I've been reading too much manga. My first thought was of someone trying to wash themselves after being raped -_-

Is the countdown until school ends? Why are you so disgusted with yourself?

[identity profile] chu-totoro.livejournal.com 2009-05-08 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
...yeah I was gangbanged and I'm disgusted at myself for having been too weak to fight off those EVIL MUSCLELY MEN.

Not.

Yep. I am not horribly disgusted @ myself, I just felt... unclean. I don't like lying.

x.X I did say that I've been reading too much manga. I just finally finished this screwed up series I read about a year and a half ago. At the time the whole thing hadn't been scanlated so I never finished it but someone posted it on [livejournal.com profile] free_manga earlier this week so I reread the whole thing. The only thing I liked about that story was that the girl didn't fall in love with her rapist D:< It did have a magically happy ending that didn't make any sense though...

And yeah, I guess that makes sense to feel dirty after lying.

I decided to cut my ties with random new manga.

Unfortunately, I found this one called Piano no Mori (The Piano Forest) and because I can't resist anything music related I took a look at it (this is how I got into Nodame Cantabile ;;;) and as it is turning out to be very, very good I can feel the barb setting in my flesh - hooked.

D:! :D but D:

I don't think I'll ever stop being able to read manga... Have you read Venus Capriccio? I read it... two? weeks ago. It's completely scanlated and is a shoujo romance based off of music to express their feelings. It's very sweet. The instrument in that one was a piano too though x.X

Hm, actually I've read several piano related one-shots... It must be a common idea?

Sorry, I don't really read typical shoujo/shounen anymore. If I read at all nowadays it's seinen/josei/the more philosophical stuff. & Venus Capriccio looks like it's only using music as an excuse for a shoujo love story whereas Nodame and Piano (the stuff I get addicted to) are centered around music.

*MUSIC GEEK MUCH*

(The irony is that I am reading this when I could be practising piano.)

I like the more intense stuff, but it's nice reading the simple stupid stories sometimes. Though I can't read that overly cutesy stuff anymore x.X

The music part of Venus Capriccio actually could have been a lot worse. They played a lot of various pieces and it was how they showed their character development. Most of the scenes were at their piano school and the main boy had a lot of issues about performing in public because of the stress of being the (illegitimate?) son of a famous pianist. There was barely any formal romance in the whole thing... I think maybe two kisses? One of which was in the first or second chapter x.X It actually didn't have stupid love triangles (That amazed me because guys would show up and then they wouldn't try to win the girl's heart *le gasp*

I even thought of you as I was reading it because I felt like it was music focused without being focused on the love story? There were times I couldn't even tell if the two were interested in each other romantically it was that lacking in the romance.

I haven't read Nodame yet it looks kind of weird. Maybe I could make a more accurate comparison if I had actually read it >.>

Hm. Nodame is like that. Except it has orchestras and cellos and violins too.

Piano is piano-centric (duh) but they are in elementary school and the one boy is so cute. In that little boy rawrgajlrmph I'mma violent puppy kind of way. I ♥ little kids.
