i'm starting to slip again
it's really hard when there's a lot of stuff to do not to just let it bleed into the time you originally set aside for not doing stuff, but if you do let it bleed through you start losing focus and losing track of what's going on because all you're doing all the time is scrambling to meet the latest deadline and everything starts to go @____@
girllll just remember that no matter how much it seems like you *could* have done better by squeezing in that extra hour and/or sacrificing sleep, it is NOT better because sleep friends life love and all that are all JUST AS IMPORTANT as that cs project.
do not give in to asian brainwash do not give in to asian brainwash do not give in to asian brainwash
it's interesting because i talked to jeff lee yesterday and it sounds a little bit like he's going through something similar, although he's trying to handle it by concentrating his weekend time to be super quality time to make up for the time that his work eats up. i'm really not sure about that. i sort of think if you want some things to be equally important, then you should apportion roughly equal amounts of time for them. at least within reason (if your friends aren't free there's no reason to reserve large chunks of time that will be wasted :/). obv some things take different amt of time than others, but still. maybe i'm just really wary because i think i'm starting to fall into my mom's trap where i'm letting work bleed into everything (*cough* home life *cough*) and if there's one thing i don't want to become it is to be like my mom and let work supercede everything else to the point where it's very frustrating for the rest of the family.
basically, i either need to be a lot smarter about my time or cut some stuff. probably both... but i don't know what i would cut at this point.
time to sit down and rechart life!!:P
