I'm so busy!!
Aug. 21st, 2012 07:14 pmWhat has happened to my life? How has it filled up so quickly?
I feel like fifty billion new things I want to do just burst into my world and now I've got my hands full all the time! While I was in Korea I learned (badly) how to play basketball, and before I left I'd already started getting into badminton and ping pong, and I'm always down to splash around. Add that to frisbee (MY LOVE) and there are too many sports and not enough time. @@
I also want to keep up my Korean. And revive my Japanese. And there are many new songs I want to transcribe to piano (I really need to invest in a keyboard), and after all that real-soccer and Olympic soccer watching, I've suddenly discovered that I'm actually interested in the CAL football game (I know, it's not soccer, shhhhh). And after jumping around with Margarethe and Molly (who made it onto Korean TV woohoooooo) I've discovered that mimicking kpop dances a la Debra is really fun and not that hard, AND I still haven't gone out to buy those cards for my master plan.
Master plan: Buy a lot of happy cards that say "smile!" and keep a stash with me at all times and then sneakily give them away to depressed looking people on campus.
Second master plan: Go to Mongolia or some other rural country and teach English, but structure the class like a videogame and see what happens.
I shrunk while I was in Korea. All of my pants and shorts are now 1-2 sizes too big and while they haven't quite gotten to the point of falling off, I can take a lot of them off without unzipping. -___- So I think I may need to get new pants, since the alternative plan (EAT LOTS OF FAT) doesn't sound all that appealing. Besides, I drive a lot. I want to burn many CDs for my driving enjoyment. Unfortunately, not only do I not have many songs which I grew to like on this trip, I don't even have most of my original music collection because of that one time my harddisk crashed and burned. boo.
Most of all, I want to hang out with all these amazing people, skype or irl, and there are too many of them! A few months ago I started this plan to contact one old friend a day, and it's totally fallen by the wayside because now there are tons of conversations to keep up with. But that's good! (:
Oh I forgot to mention, after visiting Melody and tasting her delicious Italian dressing chicken, I've become a cooking convert. OK, not really, I already was. But I do want to cook more healthily this semester because last semester I almost died eating my own food. Also did I mention this apartment is amazing? My mom insisted on giving me a steam cooker AND a slow cooker before I left, but this place has two of each already! And a huge supply of chopsticks.
I LOVE LIVING WITH ASIANS. <33333
OH and everyone takes off their shoes.
Oh and there are lots of movies I want to watch speaking of which I'm going to go watch one now. Bye!
