The sleepover was... fairly fun. I think I came back too soon from camp to really appreciate seeing people again, what with the flurry of camp people and home people and chatgroup people and whatnot.

More on that later. For now, books! From the past month or so.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - I ♥ Scout. She is rapidly joining my list of favorite protagonists, there. Book itself was good, found the end somewhat heavy (particularly the trial) but well. It's meant to be.

The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - Interesting perspective. The whole time travel twisted times past future thing is done v. well, methinks. Fun leisure read.

When You Are Engulfed By Flames by David Sedaris - Hilarious guy. Don't get fooled by the title, it's fairly random; this is a pretty much autobiographical book about David himself, v. self-deprecating but also v. funny.

Firebrand by Marion Zimmer Bradley - Retelling of the Trojan War. Easier read than Mists of Avalon, liked it all right.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom - Short read. Though-provoking. Would advise reading if you have the time just because, well, it's so short, and it's good.

All of these I liked pretty much, though average. Maybe a little above average, some, but in general I'd just label them as Books I Liked All Right.

Now what I got started 1-2 days ago on, I really LOVE. RABURABU~~ ♥♥ Snow Crash, by Neal Stephenson. Honestlyyyyyy! I am remembering all over again why I love Neal Stephenson and his style of writing, I am loving the scifi and the cyberpunk and the embedded bits of satire (oh the satire), in fact I love it so much I think I like it more than The Diamond Age, even, though whether that's because it's actually better or because I read The Diamond Age so long ago when I was younger - is debatable.

but. <33333333

In other news, lack of sleep (got what, 2 hours at the sleepover) is making me really cranky and I have an unnaturally low tolerance for annoying people and/or annoying/pesky behavior. I really wanted to just be like: "hey, SHUT THE FUCK UP and leave me alone if you have nothing to say, all right?" Had to restrain myself from actually doing so because it would result in more undesirable consequences.

must catch up on sleep after lesson today. x____X
