May. 7th, 2007 06:19 amhorrible dreams
someone who was my brother and someone who was my dad (nothing like real family) were there, and it was kind of a dark setting and they wore these hooded, robe-like clothing, and we pull up at this little store in the middle of nowhere called 20th century something and go in, but it's all a trap traptraptrap because we don't fit in, and as we sit down some guy shoots dad and he falls, and chaos happens but eventually it's just brother and I back there again, but then someone shoots brother too and he falls at my feet and I go wild and eventually find myself back home facing mom trying to explain, covered in sweat and blood and tears and rain, and apparently I had lugged my brother the entire way back in the rain without remembering any of it, and dad was just in the car already because brother and I had put him there before he got shot too (dunno how I managed to run and drive home at the same time), and she was trying to calm me but I couldn't be calmed, and then I woke up.
Cats. Kittens. Ridiculous amounts of them, crazyamounts, don't remember the beginning of the dream, just remember rounding them up. Into this mailbox-like thing. And I would just open it and kind of tap, and when a kitten's worked up enough courage it'd streak past me and in and then curl up in the comfortable darkness, kind of glaring and hissing at me a little bit. And if you got behind the kittens and scared them, they kind of just all piled in. They were squished to the brim (and I mean that) but they didn't seem to mind at all, only the whole thing was a very tentative business because the kittens were prone to scratch, and wild and vicious and feral and it just wasn't fun at all.
At some point connected to the kitten dream I was trying to face cats in my game room. One had gotten in and I was trying to drive it out, and it was horrible because our doors aren't stable. I'd get it out in the garage, throw all my weight against the door and lock it, but still the cat *could* break in. And there was also the window, which was half-open, and it *could* come in the screen. That was the white one, I think, and there was a black one locked out the other side of the door, the one that lead to the house, and eventually I realized this was bad so I go into the other side, somehow get the other cat out into the gameroom, and lock THAT door which was safe, but then the cats are both in the gameroom and not out. And I can't leave them in there, I have to drive them out. And oh, there's nothing so nerve-wrecking as slamming your whole weight against the door and pressing the button-lock furiously and repeatedly (it won't lock unless the door is completely closed), and then when the door IS completely closed realizing futilely that the lock is too weak and the other side can break right through if they slam it, and that it doesn't make a particle of difference.
Not the first time I've had mad-cat break in dreams.
Tiffany and I were both part of some SWAT team along with other classmates, and we were in this bizarre setting, some room or the other, and I was in this room and things attacked me and tried to gouge my eyes out. Then situation reverses, somehow I was okay and some hot-dog thing (that had eyes) was in the other room and these two guys wanted me to gouge ITS eyes out, only I didn't want to, but they had a knife and were cutting it and wanted me to do it, and they kept coming back and I was trying to avoid them, so finally I scoop up the hot-dog thing when they're away and run. I'm wearing some sort of giant white lab-coat thing, so it falls into the folds in the back, and then they're chasing after me and it becomes one of these sort of chase-dreams, and when I can I shake my coat as hard as I can and I feel the thing roll out behind me and then I know I'm safe and merge with the rest of the people, and Tiffany. And we're on these flat escalator things (the type they have in the airport) and heading back and we flash each other a grin and kind of go Now that was a fun excursion from school, wasn't it? And I think Andrew was hanging around her somewhere.
Somehow still vaguely connected to the SWAT dream, I think after we get there I find my stuff and my backpack and other classmates are there, but this time people I know (earlier aside from Tiffany they were all strangers), and there's Ashley and people. And then they're like hurry up Adela we're not waiting for you anymore and start running without me, and in front of them the guys had wayyyy left already, and I was left hurriedly packing stuff with a bunch of freshmen. So I finish ASAP and chase after them, and catch up with Ashley, and I notice that I'm the only one who's running with a backpack, and then they speed up a little ahead of me, so I speed up a little and catch up and even am a bit ahead, and then they ZOOM ahead of me in some bizarre dream fashion and I have strain myself and sprint as hard as I can with the stupid backpack on to try and catch up...
That eventually flickers on and off to me just kind of running with the backpack on the side of the road, and this random guy who's my coach or summit comes driving up and offers a ride, and I'm very grateful so I take it. And then he parks at this apartment complex parking lot, and I go up but beforehand there's some fuss because there's drinks in his car or something (like a pack of water only not water, some random energy drink or w/e) and I was asking him if I should take it up or give him any or something like that, might've been the other way around, and then I go up and Tiffany's there and I tell her, well, whatever the coach said (something along the lines of we need to give him *insert number here* of our *insert food/drink item here*) so we're working to prepare that and stuff and running up and down the stairs for no particular reason, and then I wake up. For the final time.
