I find when you *really* delve in there and start scourging (i.e. polishing) your pieces, the concentration is scary. Like, hours fly by and you aren't even AWARE. Until you just randomly look up and go "... whoa."
Same w/cello. And probably koto, if I ever bothered to practice it.
... too bad I don't usually bother to polish my pieces.
Hope I don't get another mini-grand this year. They're so out of tune it isn't even funny. But then, on the stand-ups the keys ALWAYS get stuck. or don't work. =.= SCU needs better pianos. [1757 edit: whee I got a grand Kawai this time. my eval was in the rehearsal hall. x3 But Kawais sound muffled. made my beethoven v. 不爽ㄚ~]
