Cookie killed a squirrel today.

She was still playing with it and pouncing on it like a cat toy; my parents had to chase her off. And then they were too scared to touch it so I had to dispose of it.

It was still warm.

It didn't look dead at all. Squirrels don't have any whites in their eyes or a contracting pupil; they don't get that empty, unfocused look in their eyes no matter what. It was still warm and it hadn't stiffened yet and the eyes still looked bright and alive only it had a gash in its stomach and my hand got stained with blood and I could feel it growing colder and colder and colder and it made me want to cry.

Cookie says he thinks it's sad that another fellow Cookie would kill a poor innocent squirrel but he understands that fellow Cookie was innocent as well.


You didn't use..gloves? Sorry, that's the first thing that popped into my head..


But anyway, I saw another dead squirrel lying on the road in my neighborhood just this past week. It was so sad!! :(((( And it was there the next day, except these two GIGANTIC black vultures were there eating it. Which was even more sad and gross. And the day after that it was gone.

I admire your courage and compassion for disposing of the squirrel before any EVIL vultures go and eat it.
