Happy September all. :)

It's Friday! At last. Long week.

I'm slipping. Horribly. I forgot to call the quartet people for today's tentative extra practice, and I told my parents I called but they didn't pick up (technically true, overlooking the fact that I called too late for it to really matter anyway-- like fun all THREE people would be able to make it on such short notice...). Flunked auditions due to many different factors; not last stand but still vexed for being behind people who are worse than me. Kim's injected in me a hatred of the back... (And ANDREW CHIEN is sitting with Alice first stand. ANDREW. wtf? He's the worst of us all. Last year when I was dead last of the entire orchestra but not quite, because there was ONE person behind me, it was HIM. How does this work? All the good celloes are gone. The seating's SCREWED UP...)

Some wrong assignments, also late checks and the like, &Calc's a bit screwy, especially since it's first period. Most of my precalc friends are gone. :( I thought they were all in 2nd period, but turns out ~half are in AB, not BC. Oh, woe~

I think! the root of the matter is not enough sleep. :) I can't function on five hours, unlike some. I can basically function, but my actions slow down, my thought processes are disjointed, and everything takes twice as long as it usually does to happen.

And! The root of THAT matter would be Cross Country. Coach is really pissing me off. He wastes so much time talking, and then people ask retarded questions and he repeats himself, and we waste so. much. time. Time is invaluable. It's precious. And he grinds it into dust chattering away. We could finish up to two hours earlier some days if he would just get straight to the point. It really, really pisses me off. He also takes to waiting for 7th perioders. I prefer last year, I think. When just the 4 of us would go out to the track after 7th, figure out what they did that day from a fellow runner (in a few clear, concise words), and do it ourselves. Quick and clean. I spent an hour today sitting in the bleachers, waiting, doing absolutely NOTHING. wtf. Not even listening to him talk. AFTER an hour he arrived (uniform day, it was) and THEN talked for like another half hour. rarrrrrrr. I think I'll confront him on the matter next week. A lot of other people have been complaining. I hate it.

So, with XC eating up so much time, instrument practice has been shot to hell. I think I might end up using Monday to try and finish as much work as I can, and as much work in advance as I can, so I can finish my hw at school without taking it home. Srsly, home ought to be strictly for instruments. Umyah, this tentatively means I probably won't be able to make it on Monday, [livejournal.com profile] kyouten you listening? But there's still tomorrow and Sunday, so I'll see how that goes.

In retrospect, it couldn't've been too bad because somehow during all of that, I managed to finish rereading Ender's Game + Ender's Shadow, and just finished Wicked. ^^ Planning to start Dune Messiah tonight. (btw I don't think I ever mentioned it, but at Berkeley this used book store I got all 3 of these books excepting Ender's Game, in relatively new condition, for only $20!!!! yayyyyyy I love Moe's Books.)

Ohoh and I have this English teacher called Mr. Rector. And he's pretty young, an alumni of the school actually, and Thomas sits behind me right and we both agreed that he reminds us of... guess who? MR. EAGEN! Fweeeee. Only, without the definitive East Coast feel, and not quite as thin and tall, more stocky. Still, cool guy.

Katie left; Adam's still home-- he took me to Jamba Juice yesterday after time trials...

Oh what else... I keep seeing Andrew Taw pop up around campus. He popped into orchestra and we had a nice long chat, and then today when the bell rang I was talking with Terran (incidentally he used to play SC!!! but he said he played random races/all races and doesn't sound like he was too hardcore so mmyeah) and Sir Taw popped by in the crowd and waved and I waved back because like, Iunno, it was v. normal because he was a senior and in the crowds just last year, you know, and about 20 seconds later I was like WAIT A MINUTE. You don't go here anymore! FAKER!!! but he was gone.

Oh Jenn Wu came back to visit Ms. Sutton. She looks diff with her new haircut, and she's filled out more since Aussie. Acne has receded, a LOT, and doesn't seem as snappish either. Not so recognizable really... Tiffa would've jawdropped. She did that when she saw Tiff Hu's new hair. She didn't recognize Tiff Hu at all actually. Even when I pointed her out. hehe.

Muahaha quartet stuff tomorrow. What funnnnnn.

2141 edit: Oh yeah, almost forgot. Louis, the almighty Tiffa wants it publicly known that you are a HYBRID. officially. because her word is law.

k that's all.
